Welcome to Idlewilde Event Center at Indian Springs State Park

Conveniently located near I-75 in middle Georgia, Indian Springs is one of the oldest state parks in the United States and a popular spot for outdoor recreation.

Idlewilde Event Center at Indian Springs State Park is available for reservations. The name is derived from the majestic house on the property that serves as the park office and visitor center; and is on the National Historic Register. With another nod to past, the individual rooms in the center are even named after the historic hotels that once thrived in the village of Indian Springs. Idlewilde has 20,000 square feet of event space including a massive lake side porch with beautiful views of the water. With a capacity of 500 people, Idlewilde can accommodate a variety of events, from birthday parties and family reunions, to weddings and corporate retreats. Additional features include a catering kitchen and audio visual capabilities in every room.

Event Rooms at Georgia State Parks

The Creek Golf Course at Hard Labor Creek State Park

  • Room dimensions 30' x 50'
  • Seats up to 100. 80 chairs, 16 large tables and 6 small tables available
  • Reservations are per day (8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.)
  • Includes refrigerator, storage room, outside restrooms, private access, heat, A/C, Wi-Fi, P.A. system and video projector

The event room can be reserved through the golf clubhouse at 706-557-3006 between the hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. 7 days a week.

Cancellations must be made 30 days in advance. A cancellation-handling fee will be applied. A forfeit of deposit if cancellation made inside 30 days of arrival. Contact the site for rates.

Panola Mountain State Park

  • Accommodates 50. Tables and chairs are available for a flat rental fee.
  • Reservations are per day (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.). A fee per hour is charged for groups staying after 4 p.m. (but no later than dusk)
  • Includes restrooms, kitchenette, private entrance, heat and A/C

The event room can only be reserved by visiting the park office between the hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 7 days a week. Call the park office at 770-389-7801 for additional information. Arrowhead Pointe Golf Course at Richard B. Russell State Park

  • Room dimensions 22' x 38'
  • Seats 60–80. 6 7' round tables (seats 8–10 each)
  • Reservations are per day
  • Includes refrigerator storage, dry storage, private balcony (7’ x 23’), access to front public balcony, Wi-Fi, flat screen monitor, P.A. system, restrooms, heat and A/C

Sweetwater Creek State Park

  • Room dimensions 24' x 34'
  • Seats up to 40 people
  • Reservations are per day (10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.)
  • Includes room divider, restrooms, heat and air, projector with screen, Wi-Fi, TV monitor with DVD player and dry erase board

The event room can only be reserved through the park office at 770-732-5871 or 770-732-5873 between the hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. 7 days a week.

Eco-Lodge at Stephen C. Foster State Park

  • Two rooms
  • Dimensions: 32' x 51' and 32" x 26"
  • Seats up to 100 or 35

Guests may rent the entire eco-lodge or just a portion. It is located in Fargo near the famed Okefenokee Swamp, offering exceptional privacy. Call 912-637-5274 for reservations and rates. Lodging and a commercial kitchen are available.

Tallulah Gorge State Park

  • Seats up to 40 people

Call 706-754-7981 for reservations and details. Meeting space is available inside the Jane Hurt Yarn Interpretive Center.

Red Top Mountain State Park

  • Room dimensions 30' x 24'
  • Seats up to 30. (30 chairs, 15 tables)
  • 8:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.
  • Includes restrooms, private access, heat, A/C, Wi-Fi. Also available a projector, a 60” LCD TV, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, flipcharts and markers.

The event room can be reserved online, through the call center at 1-800-864-7275 or by calling the park at 770-975-4226 between the hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. 7 days a week.
