Welcome to Idlewilde Event Center at Indian Springs State Park

Conveniently located near I-75 in middle Georgia, Indian Springs is one of the oldest state parks in the United States and a popular spot for outdoor recreation.

Idlewilde Event Center at Indian Springs State Park is available for reservations. The name is derived from the majestic house on the property that serves as the park office and visitor center; and is on the National Historic Register. With another nod to past, the individual rooms in the center are even named after the historic hotels that once thrived in the village of Indian Springs. Idlewilde has 20,000 square feet of event space including a massive lake side porch with beautiful views of the water. With a capacity of 500 people, Idlewilde can accommodate a variety of events, from birthday parties and family reunions, to weddings and corporate retreats. Additional features include a catering kitchen and audio visual capabilities in every room.

Paradise PFA

Located on 1,351 acres, Paradise PFA boasts 68 lakes totaling about 525 acres. The area is intensively managed for all outdoor enthusiasts and allows anglers to enjoy their day of fishing from boat or land. Fish species include largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, channel catfish, crappie and brown bullhead.

Catch a Tagged Bass, Earn Prizes at Paradise PFA: Beginning February 2025, Paradise PFA is conducting a largemouth bass study. Fisheries staff is tagging bass (1 to 2 tags possible on a fish). Anglers that return tags are eligible to receive a custom ball cap and can be entered into a drawing for a Yeti cooler at the end of the study (Feb.-March 2026). More info about tagged bass and angler participation can be found at GeorgiaWildlife.com/catch-tagged-bass-when-you-go-fish-georgia-paradise-pfa-and-earn-cap.

Largemouth Bass Regulations Change: Paradise PFA fisheries managers have been evaluating the catch and release regulation on Paradise PFA’s Lake Paradise and determined it hasn’t meant its original goals.  A recent public survey showed high levels of support for regulation changes. Effective now, anglers fishing any of the Paradise PFA lakes may harvest/possess a total of 5 largemouth bass with a minimum length of 14”, but only one of these fish can be over 24” in total length.

Catch a big fish at a Public Fishing Area and you may be eligible for an Angler Award or even a PFA Record award. Learn more about Angler Awards.
